The
Horizon Distance Marker and Distance Spod utilises similar technology to our
Horizon Titanium range to produce blanks that will cast spods and marker
floats to the limit of achievable casting distance. Utilising Fox Tri-Lites,
our unique distance guides with low profile high performance inserts housed
within a stainless steel triple leg frame. These are designed to be
extremely strong but also exceptionally light weight. Ultra slim 18mm Fox
reel seats, which accept all big pit reels, are used on both models and the
handles also feature a tapered hand grip, finished with shrink rubber for
comfortable casting. Horizon Distance Marker
The 12'6" length of the Distance Marker provides the optimum compression
length and the blank has been designed with casting power through the butt,
middle and lower tip, while featuring a sensitive and responsive top which
gives ultimate feel when feature finding. 6" and 12" markers on the butt of
the rod means line can be measured off the reel for accurate depth finding.

Horizon Distance Spod
The Horizon Distance Spod will cast the largest of spods as far as is
physically possible. in testing this rod cast a fully loaded TB1 spod
weighing over 7ozs in excess of 140 yards. This is a specialist tool and is
best suited to anglers casting spods with a loaded weight in excess of 4ozs
- smaller, lighter spods simply don't compress the blank enough to get the
best out of it. This is a powerhouse of a rod that will genuinely reach
previously unachieved distances with medium to large spods.
