 This
net came about after years of not being able to find a net that did what we
felt it needed to do. We wanted a net that had a very stiff handle and arms
so that when netting a fish it wasn't bent double before it had cleared the
water. we wanted a block that was small, reliable and quick to assemble, we
wanted a mesh that was kind on the fish as well as quick drying and one that
lifted easily through the water. Finally we wanted a net that was light to
hold as most of the time you are netting on your own with your net in your
weaker hand.After lots of consultation with Harrison Advanced Rods we came
up with the carbon handle and arms that we now use and have managed to get
the stiffness and lightness that we wanted. The handle is 6' long with the
arms being 42", the cord on the front is 46" wide but can be tightened up to
around 44" if required. The handle has a Japanese shrink rubber grip which
is finished with a Stainless butt cap. The spreader block is a totally
different design to what has gone before, it not only does all we wanted
from it but it looks pukka too.
