Choosing the right line for the job is essential to get the most from your fishing. That is why Wychwood have developed
a range of braids and fused braided micro-encapsulated line to cover every aspect of pike fishing. Braided lines have several advantages over traditional nylon. Made primarily from Dyneema fibres (one of the world's strongest materials) these lines have incredible strength for their diameter. This means that you can effectively step up in breaking strain without compromising casting distance or lure action. For example, whilst we would normally choose a 15lb nylon for bank fishing, with braid you can step up to 20lb or even 30lb with no loss of performance.
